Something extradonary happened in Dublin in the summer of 1977. Phil Lynott, with his band Thin. Lynott made the first major international hit with The Boys are Back in Town, sparking off Dublins rock scene.

Two other bands emerged during this same summer - The Boomtown Rats with Bob Geldorf, and U2, with Bono as its lead. Ten years later Geldorf created Live Aid – raising millions for the starving people of Ethiopia, and U2 became rock's hottest ticket on the face of the world of rock.

How did it all begin, and what was the story behind the man who inspired them, Phil Lynott?

The completed script is now been packaged for talent, direction and finance.

Optioned originally by Mary Beeny Farrley productions at Ardmore studios, Ireland. The script in turn-around has been optioned by Ailesbury Corporate Finance, Dublin.

Olympia is now in negotiations with Noel Pearson, Ferndale Films, to co-produce. Time Music London is handling the music rights.
